Weight Summary:

Miss Ruby takes the overall win. Her counterpart is Mister Emerald who just edged out Mr. Amethyst for lead male. I don’t believe we’ve ever had a female win the overall.

For ‘puppy of the week,’ it was very close. No puppy was above 20% and no puppy was below 15%. It was a very consistent week for the litter. However, Mister Emerald took the final week by just enough to take the overall male by 7 hundredths of a pound over Mister Amethyst.. Miss Pear was Emerald’s female counterpart for the week.

Upcoming:

We have some photos and videos from the last few weeks of the pups being out in public socializing that we will post over the next week or two. We are a bit behind on posts for the litter but being behind when litters are in the socializing stage is normal for us. It just takes a great deal of time. Additionally, travel now begins for us with these pups.

Weight Summary:

Miss Ruby now leads over Mr. Amethyst with Mister Amethyst in a comfortable second. The other boys are bunched together essentially all fighting for third place with a week to go before weighing ceases. The other two girls are bringing up the rear, which it is typical for the boys to outweigh the girls from six weeks to seven weeks onward. Miss Ruby is quite special in this regard to still be leading the litter this late.

For the second week in a row, Mister Onyx took ‘puppy of the week’ and currently sits in fourth. His female counterpart, Miss Topaz, was just barely behind him.

Puppies are all doing well. Photos and video will be coming soon to show more of these pups out socializing and having new experiences.

Upcoming:

Week 9 will be the last report and it will likely not include a pup or two that will have already left to go to their puppy raiser homes to prepare them for their futures.

This is a very late report indeed as we are approaching week 9 in just a couple of days. We’ve been extraordinarily busy so we didn’t get around to writing these up until now. I’ll leave this report for now with just the chart of weights and come back a little later when I can (or maybe come back to this a couple of times) to update it. Week 8 data will be posted initially in the same fashion as well.

Weight Summary:

The big story is that Ms. Ruby & Mr. Amethyst are now tied at the top. I measured these two pups three times each and once I had stable readings for each of the three measurements (which took awhile), they were tied. This is the first time for this occurrence for us. It was a slower than usual week for Mr. Amethyst. All four of the other boys are threats for the weight title to Ruby and Amethyst, as they are all in striking distance.

The winner of the week was Mr. Onyx, which I believe this is the first time he took ‘puppy of the week’ honors.
