Madds/Lucille Litter 1: A Litter Profile

What would you like to have in your Laekenois? Let’s start with the profile of the breed in general, as we at Coswald’s consider it to be.

Laekenois are always watching and very attentive to what is going on around them. For that reason, they have historically filled the herding role of “tending” where they served as a living fence to keep cohesion of the flock and to guide the flock slowly through pastures while keeping them safely away from roads and crops. They are not only effective at managing the flock, they are also very effective and devoted to guarding the flock and with it, family and property. And why not fterall, they are traditionally and are still today known as “herding and guardian” breed.
